EndNote Web

EndNote is available as a web-based product. Since the University of Utah has a site license for Web of Science, we have automatic access to EndNote Web.

In addition, the University of Utah does have the web-based program RefWorks.

EndNote to Reference Manager

It is possible to move (import / export) an EndNote library into Reference Manager and/or ProCite. It is also possible to move a Reference Manager database into EndNote.

Most bibliographic programs allow the users to transfer data between programs.

EndNote and Google Scholar

EndNote X does work with Google Scholar for the direct export of citations.

It does require version 10.0.2 -- so you will need to use that patch if you want to use Google Scholar with EndNote.

Special EndNote training

Donna Kirking, Product trainer from ResearchSoft, is coming to Utah to do EndNote training.

Donna has scheduled class on Feb 28, March 1 and 2. She will cover the basics, review filters and connection files and do a tech support sessions.

For more information see: http://www.classeslibrary.org (not a real address).

EndNote at NANOS

On Wednesday, I drove up to Snowbird with 3 colleagues from Eccles Library to do a 1-hour presentation on EndNote to the NANOS folks. (North America Neuro-oOphthalmology Society). We have about 50 people attend -- so it was challenging. We used 20 of our computers, but many attendees used their own; that created some problems because people had different versions of all software. That made it difficult for them and me.
